PRE-RIDE NOMINATIONS
Please make sure that you nominate for all Endurance and Training and Introductory rides (this means any ride).
Nominations should be made to the person(s) named on the Ride Calendar using the phone number or fax details provided (email may be used but is suggested that use the reply receipt facility with your email and if you do not receive a receipt you will have to telephone to make sure your entry has been received. This is your responsibility so it is suggested your email is sent in plenty of time.) Nominations MUST be received by 8pm on the day notified on the flyer (usually one week preceding the ride).
A late entry fee of $10 will be added to all entries on the day where the pre-ride nomination has not been received prior to 8pm on the preceding Monday

The South Australian Endurance Riders Association invites you to a
COME AND TRY DAY
Sunday August 8th 2010
Distances: 20km, 10km, 5km
Starkey’s Campsite, Mount Crawford Forest
Come and see what our fabulous sport is all about!
Prize for the most beautifully decorated mane and tail.
20km ride Starts at 10 am $20
10km ride Starts at 10.30 am $10
5km ride Starts at 11 am $5
(Non SAERA members need to pay $15 day insurance per rider in addition to ride fee)
Vetting will commence at 8 am.
All riders must be in attendance for the ride brief to commence one hour prior to the start of your ride distance.
BBQ and drinks will be available for purchase on the day
Ribbons for successful completions of all distances
Whips and spurs are not permitted. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
All riders must wear an Australian approved equestrian helmet.
Riders under the age of 10 years must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Led rein riders welcome. All horses must be at least 3 years of age.

Sunday morning vetting only by prearrangement with ride organisers.
Birdwood CFS catering for Dinner on Saturday night.
Dogs allowed on leash at all times. Fires allowed, please bring your own wood.

All of the details above need to be included on a ride FLYER, but for advertising in the Advertiser and on Aushorse (http://www.myaushorse.com/calendar/calendar.php ) it is not necessary to include all of the above details provided that you have a reference to both the website and a contact person and their phone number.

Starkeys is along the Williamstown (Cricks Mill) Road from Mount Pleasant to Williamstown. Turn right along Williamstown Road as you leave Mount Pleasant and approx. 5 km along this road you will see Ride signs at Starkey Road on your right (on your left if you come from the Williamstown end).
Truro is approx. half an hour from Gawler. As you enter Truro from the Gawler Road you will see signs for the Ride taking you left and immediately right, then left up Railway Terrace and the Oval is on your left. If you come along the Blanchetown Road you can turn right as soon as you get to Truro, just before the Church, and then take the second left down Railway Terrace, the Oval will be on your right.
If you are coming from Murray Bridge take the Princes Highway, go past the Zoo entrance and then take Schenscher Road which is on your right. The Monarto Sporting Complex is along Schenscher Road on the right (approx. 15 kms).
If you are coming along the Mannum to Murray Bridge road, turn right down Wagenknecht Road. At the end of the road turn right, over the railway and then immediately left down Pallamana Road. Follow that road to the 5 ways junction and take Schenscher Road (second exit left), the Sporting Complex is on the left just past Hartman Road (on your right).
