Tom & I are coming over to your ride on October 8th. The reason for the post is that I would like to organise a horse to ride in either the FEI 90km or 160km ride. I am FEI registered & have already ridden in several FEI rides.
I usually ride at 85-89kgs & would prefer a kind horse to ride as I am over riding "ying yangs or difficult horses". I am happy to pay the entry fees etc as well as ride to your instructions for the performance of the horse. If you think you can provide a suitable mount - you can contact me by email - tomlou@iinet.net.au or you can ph 02 62265626

Pleased to announce the arrival of the last foal we will be breeding - Veloce Finale - chestnut colt by Centre Braveheart (of course) and first (and last) foal from my very special Veloce Orlando - otherwise known as Lolly. After all the anticipation and decking out a very comfy stall with the view to swag it when the signs of iminent birth appeared ... they just went and did it (with no warning) sometime in the early hours of Tuesday just gone. Guess I'll never get to view a birth now ...
Anyway they're both healthy and well with little "Fin" a clone of his mum with of course that beautiful Braveheart expressive face. Also a nephew for the well performed Veloce Mamma Mia, now I can't wait for those years to role by ....

Hi all! Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and new years! All ponies slowly coming int work after their holiday. As many of you would be aware we are very short on rides this year! Especially leading up to the Quilty. Mudgee and myself are looking to put on a budget ride or two prior to the Quilty.

Whilst recently in QLD I mentioned this, and there has been some interest in having a 2 day 80km. My seister and I recently rode in Fernvale; the first ride we did in Nov. was an 80km held on Friday and an 80km on Saturday- both being twilight rides. This weekend we also headed over there and competed again this time they made it an 80km on Friday (twilight) and an 80km on Sunday morning.

I have been thinking this may be a good idea for those wanting to qualify horses but not enough rides, or getting more than one horse ready for the Quilty.

However this is a lot of work and will only be possible if we have the numbers. At this point it is just an idea, nothing has been set into motion. I am hoping for some feedback from both SA and interstate riders. If there is enough interest we will try and organize a 2x 80km in a weekend. Also this will be held from the mount Crawford area, not necessarily Starkeys but again its still in the process of being worked out.

If you could please leave suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance
Jessica
